Welcome to My World--Jenny IRL

Updated: Feb 24

Real, unedited life lessons and moments so awkward I can only write them.

Hey you! Thanks for taking the time to read this! My name is Jenny and I am an absolute optimist. I am such a passionate person about the places and people I work with. If I am invested in something, I am all in-- no exceptions. I decided to start this blog because I realized how much time I have been investing in others and want to share some of that love with myself. I hope you can read this and relate to it or learn something. I am a third year student at The University of Houston, part time personal assistant and child advocate volunteer at CASA. I am also working as a marketing and communications specialist for two different internships. One is nonprofit and the other is completely for profit. I have been learning so much in such a short amount of time. It is super exciting, and at times overwhelming, but not once has it not been worth it! Writing has always been a relaxing, stress relieving hobby for me, so I am excited to start doing it again. Making connections and lasting relationships is super important to me, so please ask a question or send a message and I will get back to you!

Life Lessons/ Helpful Info

Working as a personal assistant for the past five years has definitely taught me shortcuts and new ways to problem solve. Working as a marketing and communications specialist for the past two months, I feel like I have learned more than I have in 2-3 years combined. It is a surge of knowledge and this is where things can get overwhelming. It is easy to come up with a ton of ideas, the true dedication comes in when you are putting those plans into action. I plan on sharing some of the shortcuts and tricks that have helped me in different areas of my life, some school, some work, and some personal.

Things are not always what they seem

I have learned that for every one way to approach something, there is a million other approaches too and I am obsessed with chasing those options and getting the most out of every opportunity! I crave peace, happiness and success. Not only for me, but for everyone willing to put in the work.

"Connection is why we're here. It is what gives purpose and meaning to our lives"-Brene Brown

I could not agree with this quote more, I can't think of one thing that matters to me more than the personal connections I make. They inspire, persuade and motivate me to do better and be better. I truly believe beauty comes down to being a good-hearted person who helps others. What's your favorite way to help others? Send me a message or leave me a comment and let's connect!
